Our areas of expertise

Our doctors represent several different aspects of primary care. You can choose a provider who focuses on family medicine, geriatric medicine, internal medicine or pediatric medicine to best meet your and your loved ones’ needs.

When choosing a primary care provider, consider your age and healthcare needs as well as the age and needs of others for whom you may be responsible, such as a dependent minor or adult.

Types of primary care

  • Family medicine focuses on whole-person care and wellness including preventive care, routine health screenings, treatment for chronic conditions and acute problems, and minor surgical procedures. Family medicine specialists see people of all ages and can address certain specialty needs that may arise throughout a person’s life, like obstetrical care. A family medicine provider can be a good choice for those who want to see a single provider for family members of all ages.

  • Geriatric medicine is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to meet the healthcare needs of older adults, usually those age 65 and above. Our geriatric care team includes professionals trained in nursing, social work, clinical pharmacy, and physical and occupational therapy. These doctors are sometimes called geriatricians.

  • Internal medicine encompasses a broad spectrum of care for adolescents and adults. This type of care includes prevention, diagnosis and treatment of common problems and conditions.

  • Pediatric medicine provides specialized services for children and adolescents, including preventive and comprehensive care for common conditions, serious illnesses and chronic diseases.
